Integrative Psychedelic Bodywork
You’ve Heard of Rolfing and Psilocybin—Now We’re Combining Both for Integrative Trauma Healing
If you’ve been exploring different ways to heal from trauma, you may have come across Rolfing, a form of bodywork known for its deep tissue release and ability to realign the body. You’ve probably also heard of psilocybin, the active compound in magic mushrooms, famous for its mind-expanding effects and potential in therapy. But what happens when you combine these two powerful healing modalities?
Integrative Psychedelic Bodywork
The answer is a transformative, integrative approach that addresses trauma on both a physical and emotional level. By blending the gentle, embodied awareness of a psilocybin mini or microdose with the deep fascia work of Rolfing, we create a unique pathway for healing. We're referring to it as, "Integrative Psychedelic Bodywork". This combination not only helps release the trauma stored in the body but also provides the mental clarity and emotional insight needed to process and integrate these releases.
Many of us carry trauma deep within our bodies, manifesting as chronic tension, pain, or an underlying sense of discomfort. These physical symptoms are often tied to emotional wounds that traditional therapies may not fully address. By combining a microdose or mini-dose of psilocybin with Rolfing, we can gently access and release trauma stored in the body, providing a powerful, integrative healing experience.

Why Pair Psilocybin Microdosing/Minidosing with Rolfing?
Psilocybin in microdoses is known for its subtle, yet transformative effects. Unlike a full psychedelic journey, microdosing involves taking a small, sub-perceptual dose that doesn’t alter your consciousness in a dramatic way. Instead, it creates a heightened sense of awareness and openness, making it easier to connect with your body and emotions. This makes it an ideal companion for Rolfing, a specialized form of deep tissue bodywork aimed at releasing tension and restrictions in the fascia.
Rolfing helps align the body by working with the fascia, a web of connective tissue that often holds physical manifestations of trauma. The microdose of psilocybin enhances this process by softening mental defenses, allowing clients to tune into their bodies more deeply and become aware of emotions or memories that may surface during the session.

Releasing Trauma with Gentle Awareness
Trauma is not just stored in the mind; it’s held in the body, often as chronic tension or pain in specific areas. The fascia, which surrounds muscles and organs, can tighten and contract in response to trauma, creating a sense of rigidity and discomfort. During a microdosed Rolfing session, clients often experience a heightened sense of embodiment, making it easier to feel where the body is holding onto tension or pain.
The psilocybin microdose creates a gentle expansion of consciousness, providing a safe space to explore these sensations without being overwhelmed. As we work with the fascia, clients may notice emotions, memories, or insights surfacing. This is a sign that the body is beginning to release the trauma it has been holding onto, allowing for both physical and emotional healing.

What to Expect During a Microdosed Rolfing Session
We begin with intention setting, a key step that helps guide both the microdosing experience and the bodywork session. Whether you’re looking to release specific physical pain, process emotional trauma, or simply deepen your connection with your body, setting an intention provides a clear focus for the session.
As the microdose of psilocybin takes effect, you may notice a subtle shift in perception. It’s not about intense visuals or a deep psychedelic journey; rather, it’s a gentle enhancement of awareness. In this state, your body becomes more receptive to the touch and adjustments with the bodywork. You might feel areas of tightness softening, or notice old emotions rising to the surface as the fascia begins to release.
Clients often describe the session as a process of “unwinding”—a sensation of letting go of tension they may have carried for years. The combination of the microdose’s gentle, expansive effects and the deep, targeted work of Rolfing allows for a powerful release of stored trauma.
The sessions usually last anywhere from 3 to 5 hours, depending on how long the effects of the psilocybin last. You will not be aloud to leave until we both are comfortable that it's safe for you to drive. Because it is a microdose or minidose, most people are fine to drive immediately, but of course, we always want you to be safe and will check in with you first.

The Benefits of a Holistic Approach
Using a microdose of psilocybin with Rolfing offers a holistic way to address trauma that bridges the mind and body. Psilocybin provides the mental space and openness needed to explore and process emotions, while Rolfing helps facilitate the physical release of these emotions from the fascia. Together, they create a comprehensive healing experience that can bring lasting relief and a sense of integration.
This approach is especially beneficial for clients who have tried talk therapy or other traditional methods but still feel disconnected from their bodies or have unresolved physical pain. By addressing trauma on both a physical and emotional level, this combined therapy offers a path to deeper, more lasting healing.
