Top Questions Clients Ask

Does Rolfing hurt?
Rolfing should not be painful. Some moments may feel intense — like a deep stretch or release — but your comfort always guides the process. We adjust pressure based on your needs, so you’ll never be pushed beyond what feels safe.

What should I wear to my session?

  • Rolfing: Men usually wear athletic shorts; women often wear a tank top and shorts or a sports bra.

  • Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage: Loose, comfortable clothing. Wear something that is easy to remove. Choose light fabrics that won't restrict your movement or the therapist's work.  If you're not removing all your clothing, opt for cotton underwear that isn't too tight. 

  • Lymphatic Drainage, Reiki: Stay fully clothed — light, comfortable clothing is best.

  • Thai Yoga Bodywork: Loose, stretchy clothing (like yoga wear) works well.

Is Lymphatic Drainage safe after surgery?
Yes — lymphatic drainage therapy is one of the best ways to support post-surgery healing. It helps reduce swelling, improve circulation, and speed recovery. Always check with your surgeon to confirm timing.

How soon will I see results from Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage?
Many clients notice results after just one session — including reduced puffiness, lighter feeling in the body, and more defined contours (especially around the abdomen and waist).

Do you take insurance?
No, we do not bill insurance. However, many clients successfully use HSA/FSA cards for services such as Rolfing and lymphatic drainage.

Rolfing Structural Integration

What is Rolfing(Structural Integration)?
Rolfing (also called Structural Integration) is a hands-on therapy that works with fascia — the connective tissue around muscles and joints. It helps restore alignment, reduce pain, improve posture, and create lasting balance in the body.

Who should try Rolfing?

  • People with chronic back, neck, or shoulder pain

  • Clients recovering from injuries, whiplash, or scoliosis

  • Athletes seeking faster recovery and improved performance

  • Anyone who feels “out of alignment” and wants better mobility

What does a session look like?
Sessions last 60–90 minutes. Unlike a spa massage, Rolfing is interactive and designed for long-term results.

Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage Massage (BLDM)

What makes BLDM different from regular lymphatic drainage?
Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage combines rhythmic pumping and sculpting techniques that move lymphatic fluid, reduce water retention, and create immediate visible results.

What are the benefits?

  • Slimmer waistline and reduced bloating

  • Improved circulation and detox

  • Support for hormonal cycles (PMS, menopause, pregnancy)

  • Faster post-surgery healing

How long do results last?
Results vary, but many clients feel lighter and look slimmer for several days after their session. Staying hydrated and eating clean afterward extends the benefits.

What to Wear

  • Loose, comfortable clothing: Wear something that is easy to remove. 

  • Lightweight fabric: Choose light fabrics that won't restrict your movement or the therapist's work. 

  • Cotton underwear: If you're not removing all your clothing, opt for cotton underwear that isn't too tight. 

  • No lotions: Avoid wearing lotion, oils, or strong perfumes. 

  • No tight-fitting garments: Tight clothing can hinder the flow of lymph fluid, so it's best to avoid it entirely before and after your appointment. 

The goal is to allow the therapist to perform the gentle, rhythmic strokes directly on your skin without any interference from clothing. You can ask your therapist to provide a sheet to maintain your comfort and modesty.  

What to Expect

  • Draping with a sheet:

    Your therapist may use a sheet to cover your body, allowing them to work on one area at a time. 

  • Direct skin contact:

    The effectiveness of the massage is significantly reduced if it is performed over clothing, as the gentle skin-stretching technique requires direct contact. 

  • Communication is key:

    Always communicate with your therapist if you are uncomfortable with the pressure or want to keep more or less clothing on. 

Lymphatic Drainage Therapy (LDT)

What is LDT best for?
Gentle lymphatic drainage therapy helps with:

  • Post-surgery recovery

  • Chronic swelling and lymphedema

  • Immune system support

  • Detoxification and fluid balance

Is it different from Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage?
Yes — LDT is gentler and focused on detox and healing, while BLDM is more sculpting-focused with faster, visible results.

Thai Yoga Bodywork

What is Thai Yoga Bodywork?
Sometimes called “assisted yoga,” this practice blends stretching, acupressure, and flowing movement. You remain clothed while we guide your body through relaxing and restorative postures.

Do I need to be flexible?
No. Thai Yoga Bodywork adapts to your body. It’s excellent for releasing tension in tight hips, shoulders, and back — especially for people who sit for long periods.

Reiki Energy Healing

What does Reiki help with?
Reiki supports stress relief, emotional balance, and relaxation. Clients often report feeling calmer, more grounded, and lighter afterward.

What does Reiki feel like?
People describe warmth, tingling, or peaceful stillness. Some experience emotional release; others feel clarity and centeredness.
