Hi, I’m Scott

I'm a Rolfer and endurance athlete with 15+ years of hands-on experience. I work with people who push their bodies hard — and need them to hold up.

I became a Rolfer because I needed one.

Years ago, I was mountain biking with friends when my carbon handlebars snapped on a downhill. I tumbled down the hill three times before the bike finally disengaged from my pedals. When I finally stopped, I was shaken, bleeding, and in serious pain. The hospital confirmed what I already feared: four crushed vertebrae, three broken ribs, and a snapped left clavicle.

I refused surgery. They put me in a back brace and told me six months. Six months of watching from the sidelines. Six months of wondering whether I'd ever ride hard again, run again, climb again. I know what it feels like to have your body taken away from you. The physical pain is one thing. The mental and emotional weight of being sidelined — that's something else entirely.

One Session Changed Everything

When I finally got out of the brace, a friend who happened to be a Rolfer offered to help. I said no for two months. Rolfing sounded strange, and I had no idea what it was. He kept offering. I finally gave in.

One session. That's all it took for me to understand that this work was different. Not a massage. Not physical therapy. Something deeper — structural, lasting, real. Over the next few months, session by session, I got my body back. And then I got back on my bike and rode hard again.

Leaving the Corner Office

At the time, I was sitting in a corporate office in a shirt and tie, doing work I didn't love. One afternoon, staring out the window, something clicked. My kids were grown. I could do anything. And what I wanted to do was exactly what my friend had done for me — help people get their bodies and their lives back.

A few months later, I left corporate, moved to Boulder, and became a Rolfer. That was over 15 years ago. I haven't looked back once.

Who I Work With

I work with athletes — runners, cyclists, climbers, and anyone who pushes their body hard and needs it to hold up. I'm an ultramarathon runner and endurance cyclist myself. I've crossed finish lines at 4am. I've also sat on a trail at mile 78 wondering if my body would carry me the rest of the way. I understand what endurance does to a body because I've lived it for over two decades.

I specialize in Rolfing Structural Integration — fascia work, alignment, injury recovery, and performance. Whether you're dealing with chronic pain, recovering from injury, or trying to move better and stay in the game longer, this work can change things for you the way it changed things for me.
